Abstract

222,729. Elgin, R. Jan. 5, 1924. Holders for sliding windows. - Corrugated spring strips C are attached at both ends P to the sash or frame of a window B and engage corrugated strips D fixed to the opposite member to hold the window in any position. The points of attachment P are adjustable to vary the tension of the springs, and recesses E are formed to allow inward movement of the springs. Cam locks may be fitted into the recesses E to prevent movement of the springs and so lock the window.
