Spirit heating-stoves.-A pocket stove burning volatile fuels comprises a fuel reservoir 1 packed with absorbent material and having a wick 9 projecting through its top plate 4 and held in position by lugs 7<1> on a channelled sleeve 7 which fits in an outer sleeve 5 on the top plate. The vapour leaving the wick is ignited at an asbestos and platinum black heat-producer element 12 carried by the sleeve 5. The wick is provided with a spiral wire core 8. Perforated cover plates 2 are hinged to the reservoir 1.
