Abstract
222,385. Joseph, E. L. March 7, 1924. Separators comprise a series of corrugated, crimped, or similar metal plates superposed so as to form sinuous passages and supported in a frame removably mounted in an outer frame &c., so that the inner frame and plates may be removed and dipped into oil, glycerine or other viscous matter to retain particles. An outer frame a is formed with an inturned flange b and receives a removable frame c with an out-turned flange d which is formed with slots (not shown) engaging screws &c. on the flange b. Crimped sheet-metal plates are held in the frame c by rods h and tubular distance-pieces k. The frame c is provided with handles. Interlocking means may be provided on the frames a so that apparatus may be built up of any desired capacity.
