Fittings, internal; ventilating boxes.-A folding box B for transporting chicks is provided with an inner compartment of less height than the box so that air entering holes d in the walls. of the box does not impinge directly upon the chicks. The inner compartment which has no sharp cotners is preferably formed by two separate pieces D attached to locking flape C<1> on the end walls so that when positioned within the box they are bent into semi-cylindrical form with their free edges lying in contact with the side walls.
