Plaster compositions consist of a mixture of anhydrous plaster of Paris and an " accelerator " consisting of plaster of Paris which has been mixed with insufficient water to set it. By regulation of the amount of water in the accelerator, the time of setting of the composition may be controlled. The composition may be mixed with cement, or magnesium oxide or magnesium chloride, or both.
