Description
A GLOVE MOULD SEAT
The Present invention relates to a glove manufacturing machie, and more Particularly to a glove mold mounting device therefor
Conventionally, a glove mold mounting device includes a plate mounting thereon a plurality of studs (or barrels) each of which pins 5 0 1 screws thereon a glove mold. Such arrangement has the following disadvantages:
1. it demands and elevator for dipping the glove mold in a material of (e.g. the rubber, the silicon rubber or the synthetic resin) tank.
2. The glove manufacturing machine must be stopped and then suitable tools must be used, if a different glove mold is to replace the glove mold now on the machine. This replacing procedure, however, is time-consuming.
3. The glove mold on the mounting device device is not rotatable, causing a non-uniform thickness at the front and rear sides and/or at the left and right sides and/or at the top and bottom portions of a glove so produced.
The applicants invention is designed to deal with the above disadvantages encountered by the prior art.
According to the present invention, a glove mold seat includes a base secured to a chain link of a driving chain, a securing piece pivotally connected to the base, a connecting shaft having an intermediate flange, a top end, a bottom end rotatably connected to the securing piece and an upper axial through slot, a glove mold connector mounting thereon a glove mold and having a lower portion, a pin pinning through the lower portion and the through slot, and a spring mounted between the flange and the lower portion for urging the connector against the the top end.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a glove mold seat obviating the above described shortcomings encounteled by the prior art at least to a great extent.
This and other obiects of the present invention nventionmay become apparent through the following description with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing a glove mold seat according to tlle Present invention; Fig. 2 is a sectional view of a glove mold seat in Fig. 1; Fig. 3 is a sectional view of a glove mold seat in Fig. 2;
Fig. 4 is a top view of a glove mold seat in Fig. 2;
Fig. 5 is a schematic view showing a glove mold seat in Fig. 2 incorporated on a driving chain of a glove manufacturing machine; and
Fig. G is a schematic view showing three states of a glove mold mounted on the present glove mold seat with respect to the base of the present glove mold seat.
Referring now to Figs. 1--5, a glove mold seat according to the present invention includes a base 1, a securing piece 2, a connecting shaft 3, a spring 4, a glove mold connector 5 and an elliptical stopper 6. Base 1 includes a first half 10 having two holes 12 corresPonding to two rivets (or pins) of a chain link 70 of a transmitting chain 7 of a glove manufacturing machine, and a second half 11 having a through hole 13 along the direction of chain 7.
Securing piece 2 includes a hollow cylindrical portion 20 which extends downwardly to be two side lugs 21 respectively having two holes 22 through which and through hole 13 a pin 26 to be retained by a nhairpin 27 passes so that securing piece 2 is capable of being pivoted with respect to second half 11. Portion 20 also r c 1 u d e s upper inner grooves 23, 23 by which a a bearing 26 and an abrasive metal ring 26 & 24 are respectively retained or sleeved in or on portion 20 respectively by retaining rings 25, 25.
Connecting shaft 3 includes an intermediate flange 31, a top screwed end 32, a bottom screwed end 33 through a washer 37 screwed to a nut 38 under portion 20 and retained by a hairPin 38, and an upper axial through slot 34.
Glove mold connector 5 has a central through hole 51 for passing t;herethrough Lop end 32 of connecting shaft 3, mounts thereon a glove mold 8 having an elliptically (grooved bottom 8) and includes a lower portion 53 and an upper portion 50 which is a bottomed hollow cylinder having a central elliptical raise 52 matchable with elliptically grooved bottom 81.
Elliptical stopper 6 has a central hole 61 for passing therethrough top end 32 which through a washer 62 screws thereon.a nut 63 which thru engages thereunder raise 52 and elliptical stopper 6 #a pa h 10 Or being received in ellipticallY grooved bottom 81.
A pin 54 pinning through lower portion 53 and through slot 34 is thus slideable within slot 34. Spring 4 is mounted between intermediate flange 31 and lower portion 53 for urging raise 52 against stopper 6 and nut 63.
Upon mounting a glove mold 8 0on tthe present glove mold seat, it only requires that one respectively pass and match grooved bottom 81 through stopper 6 and with raise 52. Then, while downwardly pusllillg connector 5 for a small distomce, e.g. 3-5 mm, he turns it for a predetermined angle, e.g. about 90 to complete the assemblY between mold 8 and connector 5.
As schematically shown in Fig. 6, the manufacturing machine can further includes a first guide 82 engagable with metal ring 24 for guiding securing piece 2 to pivot with respect to base 1 for, e.g. dipping glove mold 8 in a material tank 9, and a second guide 83 engagable with upper portion 50 for guiding glove mold 8 to rotate with respect to securing piece 2 for, e.g. the purpose that a very uniform thickness can be obtained all over the area of a glove so produced.
