Checking shuttles and pickers. - A checking device made of india-rubber reinforced with canvas or threads similar to a pneumatic tyre is U- shaped as shown and is provided with a hole B somewhat smaller than the diameter of the picker spindle and a larger hole A having an eyelet C of buffalo hide movable on the spindle. Discs of the same material may be placed on the spindle as shown. The checking devices may be made of parts of old pneumatic tyres.
