Tubes; cupped articles.-Hollow articles of circular or other section are made from aluminium or aluminium alloy by first chillcasting the metal in the form of a cylinder 1 of approximately the required section and with one end partly or wholly closed, and then drawing down the cylinder between dies, to the required thickness. The closed, or partly closed end may then be removed. The blank may be cast under pressure.
