Abstract

A self-standing desk diary which also provides the user with calendar information. There is room for promotional data to be displayed at all times and coloured pictures make the diary an attractive article to be placed on a desk. The user has sufficient space for making notes as well as recording details of appointments. Description

DALENDAR A self-standing desk diary/calendar This invention relates to a self-standing desk diary/calendar.

The desk diary/calendar,hereafter referred to as a dalendar, is designed to provide the user with detailed information at a glance showing one week at a time with space for notes and a breakdown of each quarter showing days of the week, each month over the three month period. This would be in attractive format with a picture on one side and the diary of the week on the other. Each sheet would be attached at the top by a ring binder with two sheets of heavy-weight glossy cardboard at the back forming the support. The cardboard sheets are connected at the top by the ring binder and attached to each other by a ribbon which allows them to separate at the bottom by some 12 centimetres to form a self-standing base for the dalendar.

The dalendar folds flat for packaging. The cardboard sheets are slightly larger than the weekly sheets allowing room for company promotions etc.

Claims

CLAIMS 1. The dalendar shows each week of the year in detail and acts as a diary with room to note appointments for AM, lunchtime and PM. This allows the user to be aware of key events at a glance as well as being informed of days of the week over a three-month period as in a conventional calendar. A separate area for notes is available.
2. Each weekly sheet can have a picture on the reverse which can be seen when it is turned over, i.e. when the next weekly sheet is available to the user. This reverse side is visible to anyone on the opposite side of the dalendar when it is placed on a desk, making it an attractive feature.
3. Two spare sheets at the end of the year would allow the user to note key events of the following year before the current year has ended.

A full breakdown of the preceding and following year would also be given showing months and days of the week. Further sheets could be added for promotional purposes.
4. The cardboard supports would allow promotional details to be added to that these details were visible underneath the weekly sheets at all times, on both sides of the dalendar.
