Abstract

220,479. Dehn, F. B., (Gill Screw Associates, Inc.). Sept. 10, 1923. Gill boxes and frames.-The upper screw is provided with a screwed stud 13 and a projection which is of a width equal to the diameter of the stud and extends to the circumference of the screw and engages a corresponding socket, 16 in the cam, which is secured by a nut 20 housed in a recess 19 in its outer face. The bottom cams 28 are held in a head 25, which is secured to the lower screw by a pin 27, by means of a butting shoulder 30 and a projection 33, which may engage a notch in the head, or, as shown in Fig. 6, a circumferential groove 37 in a shoulder on the screw shaft. A keyway may be provided in the lower screw to hold the head in the correct position during assembly.
