5. A mechanism as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, wherein one of the sev ering knives of each pair is provided with an extension extending substantially to the top of the associated guide element.
6. A mechanism substantially as hereinbe- fore described with reference to the accom panying drawings 7. An agricultural machine provided at the front thereof with a cutter mechanism as claimed in any one of the preceding claims.
