Abstract
219,468. Gibbs, S. P., Moore, C. H., and Spear, A. June 29, 1923. Goggles are constructed with eyepieces having forwardly projecting screens c of conical form and of translucent material with an aperture, one side of which is nearest the line of vision than the other side. A shoulder f formed at the base of the screen c supports a window g held in place by a spring ring h<1> with turned-out edges i hinged to the bridge j. The ear-wires are directly connected to the screens c. The screens c may be extended backwardly at the sides to close the space between the eyepiece and the wearer's face and may also be provided with a turned-over edge l to rest against the face. Ventilation holes q are provided and the screens may be rotatably mounted in the eyepieces.
