Abstract

217,479. Mahon, R., and Corcoran, T. Sept. 21, 1923. Securing bearing- rings on shafts.-The spindle 2 of a trolly wheel 3 for collecting electricity runs in adjustable antifriction bearings 4 carried in recesses 6 in the sides of .the trolly head 1. The spindle 2 has a head 11 at one end and at the other end it has axial slots 17 and a tapered bore 18 with which a tapered shoulder on a screw 16 engages so as to expand the end of the spindle 2 to secure the bearing race 15 in its adjusted position.
