Abstract

Desk frames. - A pair of similar standards a supporting the slope and seat parts of a school desk are connected by distance pieces or struts b, c, d secured thereto by bolts h passing through the standards and through longitudinal holes m in the struts. The bolts are screwed into nuts n housed in holes o in the struts at right angles to the holes m. Desk or seat supporting brackets f, g are secured to the standards by the safe bolts h. The standards a may have feet e and are of H or I section. The desk or seat brackets are formed by pressing from plate or sheet metal. They are provided with a pair of lugs which fit between the flanges of the standards, and keep them in place with the assistance of distance pieces l. The strut c serves as a footboard.
