Abstract

A motor vehicle, eg a car has an attachment fitted that is shaped to increase the speed of the air that enters it so as to deflect the air travelling at a lesser speed in front of it away from the car so preventing resistance. An example of this is if a car is travelling at 70 mph depending on the measurements of the attachment this would give a speed of approximately 210 mph of air leaving the attachment. It would also prevent rain, snow, dust etc, from coming in contact with the windscreen while the car is moving. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION The invention is a various aid to motoring The main problems with motoring, are safety and cost. The area of a motor vehical which parcipitates in both these, is the windscreen and surround . In rain, snow etc, their is always reduced visabaiiity, no matter how many speeds your wipers may have. In heavy storms it may be so bad that it is foolish to even think about driveing. Their is also the possa baility that your wipers could suddenly fail. Also you could discover that your washer will not work when you need it.
The other problem with motoring is fuel and equipemnt costs. A lot of fuel is wasted due to air resistance. Motors and pumps will obviously wear out the more that you use them, so to minumise their use will be to reduce the need to replace them.
This goes forwiper rubber switches and fuses as well.
According to the present invention their is pro vided an attachment, which will be fitted to a motor vehical, enableing it to make motoring safer and to cut down on fuel and equipment costs.
A specific embodiment will now be described by way of reference to the accompanying drawings in which Figure 1 shows in perspective the attachment in place on a motor vehical.
Figure 2 iilustrates the attachment before it is -fitted to a motor vehicle.
Refering to the drawings, the attachment is shaped to give it a funnel effect. The method of secureing it to a motor vehical will be by for example bolts, screws or pop rivets.
In order for the required effect the attachment should be situated so as to give a flow of air, which passes in front of the windscreen and surround, but only needing to come in contact, at the top and sides.
The attachment will be constructed of by for example metal, glass fibre or strong plastic. It will also be adapted to cope with air intakes.
1. Aspeciallyshaped attachment.
2. A specially shaped attachment as claimed in claim 1, of such a degree that air entering it when fitted to a motor vehical, will have its speed in creased as it exits.
3. A specially shaped attachment as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 to be constructed of by for example plastic and styled to be attractive.
4. A specially shaped attachment as described herein with reference to Figures 1 and 2.
