Purifying liquids.-Iron is removed from water by mixing active charcoal with the water, with or without aeration, and then passing it through sand or other filters. Charcoal prepared as described in Specification 102,608, [Class 90, Non- metallic elements], is stated to be especially effective. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 155,610, and 188,667 (as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Act).
