Description
SPECIFICATION
Monoblock in which the tray-filter, the hydraulic means for pumping water and the decalcifying means of a dishwasher are formed
The present invention refers to a monoblock in which the tray-filter, the hydraulic means for pumping water, and the decalcifying means of a dishwasher are formed, which monoblock will be installed below the corresponding washing tank of the dishwasher.
The object of the invention is to achieve a water consumption and an energetic saving, as well as an increase in the performance of the dishwasher itself.
In a large number of conventional dishwashers currently existing in the market, the corresponding motor is placed vertically, whereas the incorporation of the monoblock of the invention permits the motor to be placed horizontally, wherefore a lower water consumption is required during functioning of the dishwasher, said lower water consumption implying a saving in power since the water must be heated and, consequently as mentioned, the water consumption used with the object of the invention is smaller than that used with a conventional dishwasher, and such smaller amount of water to be heated proportions a saving in power.
Thus, an object of the invention is to incorporate the tray-filter, the hydraulic means for pumping water and the decalcifying means in a monoblock, thereby achieving a considerable saving in the industrialisation of the monoblock. On the contrary, said elements or components were heretofore made separately and then interconnected, wherefore the industrialisation costs thereof were considerably higher since, apart from having to manufacture each component or element separately giving rise to an elevated industrialisation cost, the amount involved in the subsequent assembly of such components or elements must be added thereto.
The ducts supplying water to the washing tank have a section corresponding to the tray-filter which increases along a semi-circumferencial path, so that the blades of the turbine pump water to each duct following the mentioned semi circumferential path. Likewise a pressure by-pass has been provided to control the water level.
The mentioned water recycling turbine is placed edgewise of the tray filter and is shut off from the outside by the corresponding cover fixed to the turbine operating motor, so that the corresponding
O-ring seal or any other sealing means is placed between both.
Thus, the water level will be situated above the tray-filter, so that upon turning of the runner in a suitable direction, it pumps water to the impulse turbine, from where it is sent through two ducts, one of which leads to the upper branch of the washing tank of the dishwasher and the other leads to the lower branch of said washing tank.
Said ducts receive the water pumped by the blades of the turbine and are oversaturated with water.
The tray filter must also have a drain hole with its corresponding electric motor, as well as the filter itself occupying the entire space of the tray, which must filter the dirt inside the dishwasher, preventing it from passing to the branches of the ducts and from being discharged through the drain.
The section at which the salt deposit of the dishwasher communicates with the decalcifying tank in the monoblock of the invention, has an electromechanical anti-return device activated by a central operation control element (programming), so that when this anti-return device is open, water will flow to be regenerated, whereas if it is maintained closed, the water will be discharged from the tank to the decalcifying tank.
For a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, a set of drawings is accompanied, illustrating the preferred embodiment of the invention:
Figure 1 is a plan view of the tray filter, the hydraulic means for pumping water and the decalcifying means, illustrating in this latter the salt deposit and the decalcifier itself, all these components being incorporated in a monoblock.
Figure 2 is a view of the tray filter turned 90 with respect to the view of the preceding figure.
Figure 3 is a sectional view of the decalcifying means taken on Line A of Figure 1, illustrating the decalcifying and salt deposits as well as the electromechanical anti-return device.
Figure 4 is a section view of the tray-filter with the turbine and its operating motor in a horizontal position, in such a way that a completely tight cou pling is achieved, with the help of an O-ring seal or any other sealing means.
The said figures illustrate the tray-filter 1, the water decalcifying means formed of the decalcifying tank 2 and the salt deposit 3, which elements or components are incorporated together with the water pumping means in a monoblock. Edgewise of the tray-filter 1 is disposed the turbine 4 which is shut off from the outside by means of the yoke 5 of the operating motor 6 of the turbine 4, so that the seal 7 is located between said yoke 5 and the block formed by the tray-filter 1.
Since both the tray-filter 1 and the turbine 4 are full of water, the turn of the corresponding runner causes the turbine 4 to suck water and to pump it to the ducts 8 and 9 communicating with the washing tank of the dishwasher.
As already mentioned, the tray-filter 1 is joined to the decalcifying means, comprised of the decalcifying tank 2 and the salt deposit 3, at the bottom of which are provided filters 11 and 13, respectively. The filter 12 is placed at the top of the decalcifier itself, which filter contains the decalcifying resins 14. Both the decalcifying tank 2 and the salt deposit 3 are closed by the lower cover 10.
On the other hand, the decalcifying tank 2 is joined to the salt deposit 3 by the duct 15 which incorporates the electromechanical anti-return device comprised of the components 16. Thus, when said electro-mechanical anti-return device is closed, water will be supplied to the decalcifying tank 2 from the corresponding tank, whereas if said electromechanical anti-return device is open, regeneration will take place since the water is supplied from the mentioned tank to the salt deposit 3.
Water is supplied to the washing tank of the dishwasher through the ducts 8 and 9, which will be full of or oversaturated with the water pumped thereto by the blades of the turbine 4. Said water is pumped to each of said ducts 8 and 9 following a semi-circumferential path, a section of these ducts increasing from the point at which the pumping is initiated to the end of the semi-circumferential path, where said pumping ceases, the section of the ducts 8 and 9 being at a maximum at this latter end, as clearly illustrated in figure 2.
To control the water level of the dishwasher, there is incorporated the pressure by-pass 17, as well as the drain 18 by means of which the dirt is discharged through the duct 19, provided with the corresponding electric motor (not represented).
Finally, the tray will be provided with the corresponding filter to filter the dirt inside the dishwasher, preventing said dirt from passing to the ducts 8 and 9 and reaching the washing tank, wherefore said dirt will be discharged through the drain 18.
