Abstract

A transportable livestock feeding apparatus incorporates a rack 11, with troughs 10 running full length on both sides. The apparatus is transportable by means of wheels on a rear axle together with a pick-up hitch and skid system situated at the front end of chassis. Adjustable legs 13 are provided at the front end of chassis for static stabilising and levelling purposes. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Transportable Livestock Feeding System This invention relates to a transportable livestock feeding system.
Feeding systems at present are static structures, semi-mobile structures using skids, or small feeding racks suitable for small animals, using small solid wheels for mobility on location.
According to the present invention there is provided a completely transportable feeding system suitable for all livestock, comprising a hay/silage rack together with troughs situated on either side of the rack, with trailer axle situated at rear of chassis.
The front end of the chassis incorporates a pick-up hitch eye and skid plus adjustable legs situated at the front end of chassis behind the drawbar, for static stabilising and levelling purposes which make it suitable for use on varying ground contours.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows in perspective, the hay/silage rack with troughs situated on either side beneath the rack, pick-up hitch and skid system situated at front of chassis, plus adjustable legs.
Referring to the drawing the feeding system comprises feeding troughs 10 which run full length on both sides of the hay/silage rack 11, the spars of the rack, position of skid and drawbar 12, the position of the adjustable legs 13 and the position of reartowing eye 14.
CLAIM
Atransportable livestock feeding system comprising a wheeled chassis, feeding rack and troughs, adjustable legs and standard pick-up hitch skid system, as described with reference to the accompanying drawing.
