Abstract

A dartboard comprises a board 10 upon which a extended playing area 11 is defined and a series of individual numerals 12 are releasably attached to the board. By interchanging the individual numerals the numerical values of all or any of the segments may be varied. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Traditionallinterchangeablelvariable dartboard Technical field This invention relates to a traditionai/interchange- ablelvariable dartboard.
Background The traditional dartboard comprises of a board upon which a playing area is defined, this playing area is divided into segments and each segment sub-divided into sections. One side of one of the sections in each segment being the boundary line of the playing area. Further playing areas are defined by a circle, within which is a smaller circle, positioned in the centre of the board playing area.
Numerical values are given to each segment by means of a series of numerals, in a fixed set order, attached to or stencilled on the board.
The fixed nature of the traditional board restricts it's means of variation.
Essential Technical Features According to the present invention there is provided a traditional/interchangeable/variable dartboard comprising a board upon which an extended playing area is defined and a series of individual numerals, not in a fixed set order releasably attached to the board.
Example A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which : Figure 1 shows the board with the extended playing area defined and the individual numerals suitably positioned on the board.
Figure 2 illustrates two numerals remeved from the board to show interchange Referring to the drawing, the darboard comprises of a board 10 upon which an extended playing area 11 is defined. The individual numerals 12 (shown as discs) releasably attached, by pin or any other method (not shown), are suitably positioned on the board. In orderto put the board to its intended use the extended playing area 11 is used in conjunction with the individual numerals 12. Using the extended playing area 11 and the interchangeable numerals, positional and numerical values become variable.
Figure 2 shows individual numerals removed from the board to facilitate interchange.
1. A traditional/interchangeable/variable dartboard comprises of a board upon which an extended playing area is defined.
2. A traditional/interchangeable/variable dartboard as claimed in Claim 1 wherein means are provided to releasably attach a series of individual numerals to the board.
3. Atraditional/interchangeablelvariable dartboard as claimed in Claims 1 and 2 whereby the extended playing area and the individual numerals may be used in conjunction with each other.
4. A traditional/interchangeable'variable dartboard as claimed in Claims 1,2 and 3 can be used as a traditional board if the extended playing area is disregarded.
5. Atrnditional/interchangeablevariable dartboard substabtially described herein with reference to Figures 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawing.
