Abstract

The square stance golf aid is comprised of a toe bar 1, two heel bars 5R and 5L, distance marker 7 and an arrow 10. When fitted together it enables the golfer to stand square to the target, his feet the correct width, the golf club the correct distance from his body and the club head square to the target. <IMAGE>

SPECIFICATION Square stance golf aid This invention relates to a square stance golf aid.

One of the basic essentials of a good golfer is that he consistently takes up the same position when addressing a golf ball. This position requires him to stand square to the line of flight, have his feet the same distance part, the ball placed in the same position between the feet, the ball the same distance away from his body and the club head square to the target.

According to the present invention there is provided a toe bar, two moveable heel bars, a moveable distance marker and a line of flight arrow.

A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows in perspective the invention when fully assembled.

Figure 2 shows the side elevation.

Figure 3 shows the component parts before assembly.

Referring to the drawing the toe bar 1 is placed on the ground directly in line with the target and secured by pegs in the holes 2.

The golfer can now stand with his toes touching the bar and will be square to the line of flight to the target.

The heel bar 5L is secured to the toe bar by means of a screw at 6.

The heel bar 5R is secured to the toe bar at the correct width by sliding the heel bar in the slot provided at 4 and fastened by the screw 6. The golfer is now stood square to the line of flight with his feet the correct distance apart.

The distance bar 7 is attached to the toe bar 1 by the stud at 9 being secured in the holes 3. The calibrations at 8 shows the distance the ball is placed from the body.

The arrow 10 is placed opposite the required distance as shown on the distance marker 7 and the distance marker removed.

The golfer is now stood square to the target, his feet the correct distance apart and the ball, the right distance from his body, his club head is square to the target.
