1293714 Golf stance indicator L K N PERRYMAN 23 July 1971 [3 June 1971] 18720/71 Heading A6D A golf stance indicator and corrector has a mark T to indicate the location of a golf ball to be hit, a pointer E to indicate the desired direction of the flight of the ball a foot position indicator H to indicate the position of the user's foot nearest the ball, a first scale C to indicate the distance the user should stand from the ball for a particular club chosen and a second scale G extending at right angles to the first to indicate the spacing of the user's feet. Preferably the device is formed of two arms A and B at right angles the pointer E being slidably adjustable on arm A over the scale C and incorporating the mark T. The fixed foot indicator H extends from the arm B and a second foot position indicator J is slidable on the arm B over the stance indicator scale G. A pointer N pivoted to the arm B and swingable over a third scale M and having locating means S can be used in conjunction with the indicator H for locating the toe position of the user's first foot. The scales are marked with symbols representing the various clubs in a set from the driver D through the woods and irons to the wedge W and the device can be made so as to be reversible for right or left handed players. The arm A can be made telescopic to adjust for the height and reach of the user and the arm B can be extended to a pointer R also indicating the desired line of flight of the ball.
