Description

SPECIFICATION Disposable liner cooking utensil This invention relates to a cooking utensil with a disposable inner liner.
Cooking utensils are heat resistant vessels in which food substances are placed for the purposes of mixing and cooking.
Conventional cooking utensils, however, require cleansing after each use, for reasons of basic hygene.
According to the present invention, there is provided a two-piece utensil, comprising a base, in the form of a plate of heat-resistant material, such as Aluminium, or other metal, with at least one projection from its perimeter, and provision for a handle, or handlestubthereon.
The projection(s) incorporates fixing points, by means of which the second part ofthe utensil, a vessel of aluminium, or other metal, or heat resistant substance, of similar plan, dimensions and profile to the base, is secured to the base.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Figure 1 shows in side view an example ofthe complete utensil.
Figure 2 shows, in plan an example ofthe base unit alone.
Figure 3 shows, an example of a disposable container.
Referring to the drawing, the utensil comprises a base 1 and a disposable lining vessel 2, which is secured to the base projections 3 by, for example a projecting lip, a clip, or similar means.
In orderto insertthe liner2 into the base, the rim of the liner is secured, to each ofthe projections 3 as described above.
The utensil is now complete and may be used as a conventional cooking utensil for food preparation.
On completion of food preparation, the used liner is removed from the base by disconnecting the liner 2 from the base projections 3. Forcontainued use of the utensil, a further liner is inserted into the base as previously described.
1. Atwo-piece cooking utensil with disposable liner comprising a base unit in the form of an aluminium orother metal, or other heat resistant material plate, with at least one projection on its perimeter, and a vessel of aluminium or other metal, or heat resistant substance, of similar plan to the base.
2. Atwo-piece cooking utensil as claimed in claim 1, wherein the thin metal vessel is secured to the base projections by means of clips, lugs, or similar means.
3. Atwo-piececooking utensil as claimed above, wherein at least one ofthe base projections is extended, to form a handle-stub.
4. Atwo-piece cooking utensil as claimed in claim 2 or claim 3, wherein the base plan may be of circular or rectangular or any other shape.
5. Atwo-piece cooking utensil substantially as described herein, with reference to figures 1 - 3 of the accompanying drawing.
