Abstract

A guitar support belt has a waist or hip belt 10 and a suspended strap 12. The support belt can be releasably secured (14A) to a guitar. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Guitar support belt This invention relates to a guitar support belt.
A guitar is usually supported by one of two methods: when a player is seated, the instrument is rested on the knee or thigh. When a player is standing the guitar is supported by means of a strap fixed to two points on the instrument and passed over the shoulders.
Supporting a guitar with the neck and shoulder muscles often causes stiffness, pain and fatigue.
According to the present invention there is provided a guitar support belt comprising, a waist or hip belt and means of releasably securing the belt to a guitar.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows the belt laid out flat.
Figure 2 shows a guitar and securing points.
Figure 3 shows the belt attached to the guitar.
Referring to the drawing the guitar support belt comprises a waist or hip belt 10 with a strap 12 suspended from it provided with a means of releasably securing 14A the belt to a guitar.
In order to use the guitar support belt the waist belt 10 is fastened around the players waist or hips, so that the strap 12 hangs at the players right hand side. The means of releasably securing 14A are connected with their counterparts 14B on the guitar body.

    SPECIFICATION Guitar support belt This invention relates to a guitar support belt.
    A guitar is usually supported by one of two methods: when a player is seated, the instrument is rested on the knee or thigh. When a player is standing the guitar is supported by means of a strap fixed to two points on the instrument and passed over the shoulders.
    Supporting a guitar with the neck and shoulder muscles often causes stiffness, pain and fatigue.
    According to the present invention there is provided a guitar support belt comprising, a waist or hip belt and means of releasably securing the belt to a guitar.
