Abstract

212,235. Bardin, J. Feb. 27, 1923, [Convention date]. Medicaments of external application.-Medicated cotton wool, of the kind containing capsicum, mustard or other counter-irritants or medicaments, is prepared by treating the cotton wool with a solution of the. medicament in alcohol, together with glycerine which is also soluble in the alcohol and serves to bind the medicaments in the cotton wool. The wool is soaked in the liquid, freed from surplus liquid by draining or centrifugal action, dried, and if desired carded. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) relates also to the use of ether or other solvent in place of alcohol and to the use of oil or grease in place of glycerine. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
