Description
SPECIFICATION
Rotary plough
The invention relates to a rotary plough which is to becarried by a traction vehicle to which it is assembled by means of an attaching frame, the plough frame being rotatably supported in the attaching frame by a turnover means, and with a meansfor lateral pivoting ofthe plough frame around an axis essentially perpendicular in operating position by means of an adjusting element connecting the plough frame to the turnover means.
The adjustment is necessary in order to establish an equilibrium in the plough as a function of its driving speed and the soil conditions without introducing any torque into the vehicle which might cause a pulling of thesametotheleftortothe right.
In the known constructions ofthistype, adjustment has been effected merely by means of adjusting spindles connected to the plough frame and turnover means.
The adjustment of the adjusting spindle in order to obtain a state of equilibrium in the plough is very time-consuming in the known state ofthe art, as the correction has to be repeated until the desired state of equilibrium is obtained.
It is the object of the invention to avoid these disadvantages and to provide a rotary plough in which the adjustment of the adjusting element can be effected from the driver's seat ofthetraction vehicle.
This object is achieved according to the invention in a rotary plough of the type initially described in that the adjusting element comprises at least one releasable clamping means which is attachable to the traction vehicle by means of a traction element, preferably a cable line, having an actuating member, preferably a handgrip.
According to the embodiment of the invention, it is thus possible to release the adjusting element from the driver's seat as many times as necessary to obtain the desired state of equilibrium without having to dismount.
The desired adjustment is obtained by first releas ingtheconnecfion andthen adjusting the plough bya corresponding advancing or reversing with the traction vehicle until the desired state is obtained.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the adjusting element is provided with at least one, preferablytwo, clamping jaw(s) which are pivotably supported and actuable by means of the traction elementand can be moved to engage with a rack or the like. The clamping jaw(s) is (are) preferably spring-loaded.
It is practical to provide an adjusting lever con nected to the traction elementforthe actuation ofthe clamping jaw(s).
It is further possible to provide the releasable clamping connection with a hydraulic and/or pneumatic clamping device.
According to an advantageous arrangement, the adjusting element provided with the releasable clamping means and a sleeve is arranged spacially and substantially parallel in relation to a support connecting the plough frame to the turnover means and consisting oftwo mutually axially displaceable, but mutually non-rotatable,formed pipes, profiles or the like.
According to another advantageous arrangement, the adjusting element provided with the releasable clamping means is directly articulated by its one end to theturnover means and by its other end to the plough frame.
The invention is described in detail in the following under reference to the accompanying drawing showing an embodiment of the invenion with one variant.
Fig. 1 shows a rotary plough according to the invention in plan view; Fig. 2 shows the adjusting element according to the invention in enlarged scale;
Fig. shows a sectional view along line Ill-Ill in Fig. 2; Fig. 4 shows a plan view of another rotary plough according to the invention; and Fig. 5 shows a plan view of a further rotary plough according to the invention.
The rotaryploughforattachementto a traction vehicle as shown in Fig. 1 essentially consists of an attaching frame 1 having connections 2, 3,4forthe upper and lower connections ofthethree-point hoisting unit of a traction vehicle not shown in detail, of a plough frame 5 with four plough shares 6 and of a turnover means 7forthe plough frame 5. The plough frame 5 as a whole is pivotable by theturnover means 7 in the attaching frame 1 around an axis 8 which is essentially horizontal in operating position. The plough frame 5 is articulated to the turnover means 7 by its one end by means of an axle 9 which is essentially perpendicular in operating position and is connected to the turnover means 7 by its other end by means of a support 10 acting between the third and fourth plough shares 6.
The support 10 consists oftwo telescopically displaceableformed or profiled pipes 11,12 of rectangular, in particular square, cross section, of which formed pipe 11 is articulated totheturnover means7 byan axle 13 which is essentially perpendicu latin operating position and formed pipe 12 is articulated to the plough frame 5 by means of an axle 14which is also essentially perpendicular in operating position. Axle 13 is arranged at a distance from axle 9, axle 14 extends essentially vertically in relation to the central axis of the plough frame 5.
The formed pipes 11, 12 are mutually displaceable in an axial direction by means of an adjusting element 15. The adjusting element 15 is arranged at a lateral distance and parallel in relation to the formed pipes 11,12.
Fig. 2 and 3 showthe adjusting element 15 in enlarged scale. The adjusting element 15 comprises a rack 21 axially slidably supported within a sleeve 20 and a releasable clamping means 22 consisting oftwo clamping jaws 23 engageable with the rack 21. The clamping jaws 23 are pivotally supported and loaded by means of a spring 26 in the axial direction of the rack. A lever 24 is provided for actuting the clamping jaws 23. The lever 24can be actuated from the driver's seat of the traction vehicle by means of a traction element 25, in particular a cable line via an actuating member not shown in detail, for instance a handgrip.
Sleeve 20 and rack 21 are each provided on one of their endswith an eye 27 or 28, eye 27 articulating the sleeve 20 to the formed pipe 12 of support 10 and eye 28 articulating rack21 to the formed pipe 11 of support 10.
The length of the support 10 can thus be adjusted from the driver's seat of the traction engine by means of the adjusting element 15 by releasing the releasable clamping means 22.
The rotary plough shown in Fig.4correspondsto the rotary plough shown in Fig.1 asfarasthe attaching frame 1, plough frame Sand turnover means 7 are concerned. The corresponding structural elements are therefore provided with identical reference numbers. The rotary plough shown in Fig.4 is not provided with a support 10, but instead with an adjusting element 35. The adjusting element 35 is actuated by means of the traction element 25 and is of the same construction as the adjusting element 15 (c.f.
Fig. 2,3). The adjusting element 35 is directly supported on the turnover means 7 by means of a bolt 36 by its one end and directly pivotally supported on the plough frame 5 by means of a bolt 37 by its other end. The bearing on the plough frame 5 is positioned between the first and second plough elements 6.
The rotary plough shown in Fig. 5 comprises an attaching frame 1 for attachmentto the three-point hoisting unit of a traction vehicle, a plough frame 5 having three plough shares or plough elements 6, and a turnover means 7. The plough frame 5 is articulated by its one end to an adjusting spindle 44 and to the turnover means 7 between the first and second plough elements 6 by means of an adjusting elements 45. The adjusting element 45 can be so adjusted by means of a traction element 25 and a lever 24 that the position of the plough frame 5 in relation to the axis of the attaching frame 1 can be changed. This change is made possible by the provision of a slot (oblong hole) 46 extending essentiallytransversally to the axis of the attaching frame.
The adjusting element 15,35,45 do not necessarily have to comprise mechanical clamping elements such as clamping jaws, they may also contain hydraulic or pneumatic clamping devices. The clamping effect can beaform-locking oraforce-locking one. Essential is merelythefactthatthe releasing and locking of the clamping device can be effected from the driver's seat ofthetraction engine.
