Abstract

To keep the rain and frost off newly formed brickwork or blockwork mortar joints, a protector made of plastic based material and shaped as shown is hooked over the wall so that the short arm is in the cavity. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION The wall weather protector The wall weather protector would be possibly made out of a plastic based material. It would be used to cover a 4" thick block or brick wall. As soon as the wall had been constructed and the mortar still being wet. By placing the wall weather protector over the wall so that the short hooked side would be in the cavity side of the wall, and the longer side would hang over the face side of the wall.
When in possition it would protect an area of approximately 4' long and about 3' 6" down the wall.
1. A device for cover over brickwork or blockwork as soon as it is constructed to give it protection against the weather. This device would be made out of a 3 m.m. X 1 mtr.
sheet of P.V.C. so shaped as to form a hook at the top side of the sheet. When placed in position over the construction the small side which measures 76 m.m. would be placed into the cavity side of the construction, the longer side would hang over the face or outer side of the wall. These sheets would then be placed over the wall at approximately 900 m.m. intervals, to cover these 900 m.m.
intervals the same device would be used except this device would be 6 m.m. larger at the top so as to be able to overlap by 100 m.m.
over the devices already placed on the wall.
2. A device for the protection of brick or blocks and mortar joints against the weather, substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the drawings accompanying this claim.
