Abstract

A steam generator for a ventilation system, for example, wherein the boiler is provided with one or more electrical heating elements an automatic control of the discharging, flushing and water filling functions, as well as electronic regulation of water level and a pressure equalizing feed valve, the boiler also having a pressostat-regulated steam outlet and an operations regulator for controlling the various functions of the regulator. A bubble suppressor (6) is provided in the form of two spaced apart, cuved steel plates disposed one above the other and fixed between the end walls of the boiler (1). A condensation separator (10) is provided in the steam outlet (7) of the boiler (1) with a return conduit to the boiler (1). The operations regulator is composed of threee concentric rings. The outer ring has a plurality of symmetrical notches and can be moved by an electric motor via a gear and a resilient coupling arm, which by means of a fixed center ring and an adjustable inner ring can automatically be engaged or disengaged from the notches in the outer ring as the motor rotates, in order to obtain suitable intervals for dicharging, flushing and refilling of water in the boiler according to the degree of contamination of the water.
