Abstract

211,658. Buckbee, J. C. Jan. 11, 1923. Reciprocating sieves.-Two superposed screens 20 are supported from rock-shafts 17 by arms 27, 23, and are oscillated in opposite directions by two eccentrics 14, the arms 27 being provided with overlapping lugs 30 which carry a shook-absorbing device. In the construction described, the shock-absorber consists of a rod 31 carried by one lug and passing through the other, and a spring 33 bearing against the second lug and a washer 32 on the rod. The arms 27, 23 are mounted in pairs on each end of the rock-shafts 17, the upwardly-extending arms being keyed to the rock-shafts.
