Abstract

An automatic rolling train comprises a loading device (1), a rolling mill (4) provided with at least two pairs of tools (9, 11 and 10, 12) located on the opposite sides of the rolled workpieces, a mechanism (14) for feeding the workpieces to the rolling mill (4), guides (18 and 19) for transportation of the workpieces and a mechanism (20) for distribution of the workpieces to the guides (18 and 19) which is mounted between the loading device (1) and the mechanism (14) for feeding the workpieces to the rolling mill (4), the number of the guides (18 and 19) being equal to that of the pairs of the tools (9, 11 and 10, 12) in the rolling mill (4). The butt-ends of the tools (9 and 10) located on the same side of the rolled workpieces, adjoining the starting areas of rolling are shifted one in relation to the other in the rolling direction by a distance which corresponds to the distance between the guides (18 and 19) to ensure the passage of the workpieces to the corresponding tools (9, 11 and 10, 12).
