Abstract

A ventilated rain garment comprises a waterproofing garment 1; an air passage 3 provided on the outside of said garment, one end of said air passage having an upper opening 34 being communicating with the inside of said garment, and the other end having a lower opening 33 being communicating with the outside thereof. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Rain garment This invention relates to a rain garment, particularly to rain garment which is wellventilated.
Rain garments are typically made of waterproof material. Such water-proof material is not only impervious to water but also air and therefore when the rain clothes are put on by the wearer for a period of time the wearer will feel uncomfortable due to lack of air circulation.
A ventilated rain garment according to the invention comprises, a water proofing garment; an air passage provided on the outside of said garment, one end of said air passage having an upper opening being communicating with the inside of said garment, and the other end thereof having a lower opening being communicating with the outside thereof. Preferably said lower opening is to face downwardly. Furthermore, the alignment of said upper and lower openings are in inclining position.
An object of the invention is to provide a rain garment which is provided with air passages for air circulation.
Another objects of this invention is to provide a novel rain garment which can provide maximum comfort to the wearers.
These and other objects, advantages and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment with reference to accompanying drawings, wherein: Fig. 1 is a front view of a rain coat and trouser provided with air passages formed according to the invention.
Fig. 2 is an enlarged view of a portion taken from the rain coat of Fig. 1.
Fig. 3 is a sectional view taken along the line B-B' of Fig. 2.
Fig. 1 shows a rain coat 1 and trouser 2 provided with air passages 3 formed according to the present invention. The number of passages and the arrangement thereof can be designed in accordance with the requirement. The arrangement of passages 3 can be in either random position or symmetrically arranged position. For detailed explanation an enlarged section of a segment from the rain coat 1 is shown in Fig. 2. The air passage 3 is formed by placing a cover 30 longitudinally on the outer surface of the rain coat 1 with its upper end portion covering over the hole 34, and then bonding the cover 30 to the rain coat along the side 31 by high frequency sealing or other bonding method, leaving the lower end open to form an opening 33.
By means of air passages 3 the air can vent through the opening 34, path 32 and the opening 33, causing an air circulation inside the rain coat 1. As the opening 34 of the rain coat 1 is covered by the cover 30 and the opening 33 is facing downward the rain water cannot penetrate into the inside of the rain coat 1, and accordingly it does not influence the water-proofing effect of the rain coat.
It is preferable that the arrangements of air passages 3 at the sleeve portion 11 of the rain coat 1 and at the thigh portion 21 of the trouser 2 are to be such that the alignment of the openings 34 and 33 are in inclining position so that when the hands hole up or the wearer sits down the opening 33 will always be below the opening 34 and thus the water drops on the rain coat or trousers will not flow down the openings 33 and 34 into the inside.
With the invention thus explained, it is obvious that modification and variations thereof can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention. It is intended that the scope thereof being defined by the appended claims.
1. A ventilated rain garment comprising a waterproofing garment; and air passage provided on the outside of said garment, one end of said air passage having an upper opening being communicating with the inside of said garment, and the other end thereof having a lower opening being communicating with the outside thereof.
2. A ventilated rain garment as claimed in Claim 1 wherein said lower opening faces downward.
3. A ventilated rain garment as claimed in Claim 1 wherein the alignment of said upper and lower opening is in inclining position.
4. A ventilated rain garment substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to accompanying drawings.
