Abstract

Ruling-pens.-To facilitate rapid opening and re-setting of a drawing pen, one of the limbs is provided with a slide when can be moved to engage a. head on the adjustng-screw or to permit disengagement. The adjusting-screw b engages with a nut a<2> in a recess a<1> in the limb a and has a head b<4> which will just pass through a hole c<1> in the limb c. The slide d is mounted on the limb c so as to lie below the head b<4> and is provided with a keyhole slot d<2> so that on retracting the slide the head b' will pass through the slot and the limbs can be separated. The slide is preferably flexible and has projections d<3>, d<4> engaging in a slot c<2> in the limb c.
