Abstract

208,258. Barker, T. Sept. 23, 1922. Flat endless-belt elevators.-Dough is raised from one machine to another between two endless belts g, k. Guide rollers b, c, d are mounted in the top of the casing a and other guide rollers are mounted in the superstructure e. The belt k passes over the roller b below the roller x, around the rollers d, m, and then passes vertically to a roller n, where it is deflected towards the roller o. After passing round the roller o, the belt forms an inclined table k and is then led over rollers l, c to the roller b. The belt g passes from the roller c to the roller f, under a fixed rollers h, and over a tensioning roller i to the roller c. The belts g, k may be kept in contact during the vertical run by rotatable cross staves s mounted on uprights r. Dough is placed on the inclined part t of the belt k and delivered at u. A rotary roller v strips the dough from the belt g. The belts g, k may be driven at different speeds.
