Description
SPECIFICATION
Washing Machine Sachets Set of Three SetofThree Sachets-Small (Size 1 1"x14"), Medium (12+" x20"), Large (20"x20"). All three fastened at one end, the small sachet having a loop to hang up and to contain the medium and large sachets when not in use.
Made in good quality, fine, lightweight fabric.
1) Good quality to withstand many washes.
2) Fine to allow water, soap, dressing etcm to flow easily through the contents.
3) Fine for quick drying.
4) Lightweight so as not to increase the weight load in the washing machine.
Claim
The use of a Sachet in a washing machine will safeguard a delicate garment in that it will not be damaged by contact with buttons, hooks, zips etc.
It will avoid threads being drawn on a loose weave garment.
The Sachets have been so designed that the contents remain fairly flat and do not tangle with other laundry in the machine.
Reason for Design
1) Side seams give weight to the edge and help to keep flat.
2) A pleat to take the bulge.
A full load can be put into the washing machine as the Sachets avoid the necessity of washing delicate articles on their own.
All baby's laundry can be kept together in one
Sachet so that small articles do not go astray e.g.
small socks, bibs etc.
Other members of the household can have an individual Sachet.
The most delicate garments can be washed safely e.g. a lace blouse, an evening gown, pretty underwear, tights and stockings, by using a
Sachet. I made the Sachets when an idea came to me for a need to protect my personal garments in the washing machine. I arrived at the best sizes by trial and error and have been using them successfully for a long time. I therefore decided to market them and to protect my idea with a
Patent.
Claims
The idea which I have developed is basically simple. The difficulty arises in its unique method of construction. It would be superficially easy to copy. The uniqueness of my invention relies on the fact that I have developed the optimum combination of construction.
To try out my invention I have made the
Washing Machine Sachets in many different ways and they would all serve the same purpose. It would be easy to copy my idea by using a Zip instead of plastic taped studs, or studs directly through the fabric, or studs that might rust, or buttons or hooks. It could be moulded instead of seamed. Stitching could differ. Could be made with or without pleat.
After much research my Washing Machine
Sachets speak for themselves and it is my basic idea that I am protecting.

New or Amended Claims
I claim the Washing Machine Sachets (Set of
Three) came to me as an idea out of a dire need to protect the laundry and the washing machine.
After many years of sewing up one end of a pillow case containing soiled laundry to put into the wash load of an automatic washing machine to protect its contents it occurred to me how much easier and convenient it would be if an article was available for such a purpose, so I started making containers fastened at one end, and by trial and error, and after much research, I arrived at the best sizes required, the most suitable materials and also the idea to be able to hang them away when not in use.
I claim that my invention of Washing Machine
Sachets (Set of Three) is a modern idea. It meets with present day living, is easy to use and convenient. I trust that a Patent will be granted.
