Abstract
The hydraulic drive comprises a hydraulic pump 4 and a hydraulic motor 1, between which is arranged a 4-3 way valve 2 for controlling the stream of pressure fluid from the pump 4 selectively to flow to and return from the hydraulic motor 1 and for directing the pressure fluid to a reservoir 5 when the motor 1 is idling or stationary. A control valve 3 is arranged between a feed line 41 to the hydraulic motor 1 and a return line 31% therefrom for selectively connecting together or separating such feed line and return line. The control valve 3 has a first variable throttle means 3% between the feed line 41 and the return line 31% and a second variable throttle means 3_ between the first throttle means 3% and the reservoirs. The two throttle means 3' and 3_ are operatively connected together for simultaneous actuation by a common adjusting device 3>. Such arrangement prevents interruption of the flow of pressure fluid to the motor 1, and therefore damage to the motor, when the latter acts as a pump during downhill travel. <IMAGE>
