Sliding tubular valves.-Air may be admitted to the float chamber of a carburettor by a valve mounted on the dashboard of a vehicle and consisting of a tubular member 3 slotted at 5 for the entry of air and sliding in a member 4. The movement of the valve which is actuated by a press-button is limited by a pin 6.
