Boots and shoes, cleaning and polishing. -In a boot-cleaning machine in which a rotating shaft carries cleaning, polish-supplying, and polishing brushes, a polishsupply device is provided, comprising a guide 9 fixed to the base 2 carrying a rod of polish 8 which is intermittently or continuously pressed against the polish-supply brush 5 by a spring 10. When the shaft carries blacking and polishing brushes for both black and brown boots, two polish-supply devices are provided, and the shaft may also carry a disc 7 provided with a wool covering for polishing patent-leather boots.
