Abstract

A process for concentrating an aqueous urea solution, which comprises concentrating an aqueous urea solution having a concentration of, preferably, 70-90 wt.% under vacuum to a concentration of 95-99 wt.%, and contacting the thus obtained urea solution with an air stream at an elevated temperature, preferably 135-200`C, in a countercurrent manner under ordinary pressure to thereby concentrate the same to a concentration of 99.5 wt.% or more.
