Abstract

205,338. Christie, J., and Lang, A. R. Oct. 16, 1922. Casting in situ.-A flexible form for moulding concrete buildings in situ, also pipes, slabs, &c., consists of parallel slats 17 pivoted at their ends to links 4, the pivots 7 of the slats being adjustable in slots in the links so that the distance apart of the slots may be adjusbed. The slots are provided with multiple faces of different sizes so that the length of the form may be varied by rotating the slats on their axes and securing them to the links in adjusted position by screws 8 which engage nuts 16 under the slats, holes 12 in the end flanges of the slats, and the slots in the links. For casting a wall, adjustable distance-pieces 22 are used and also removable taper cross-pieces 27. Where the flexible form is used as a continuation of ordinary metal forms, clamps 33 are used to join the forms together. For moulding conduits, the joining side links are carried by radius rods 39, Fig. 11.
