Abstract
A sports aeroplane, comprising a fuselage (1) with a propulsion system (3), an uncambered wing (5), horizontal (8) and vertical (12) tails. Wing chords (B) and chords (C) of the horizontal tails (8), as well as the thrust vector of the propulsion system (3) are situated in a plane coming through the fuselage centre line 0-0, whereas the fin of the vertical tail (12) is extended beyond the lower outline of the fuselage at a distance h2 from the plane 0-0 equal to 25-50 per cent of the height h1 of the vertical tail (12) above that plane 0-0, so that a ventral fin is formed. The symmetrical wing section has its nose radius equal to 3-5 per cent of the local wing chord (B) and its relative wing thickness equal to 15-20 per cent of the local chord (B) of the wing (5).
