Abstract

An aircraft or missile of this type comprises a circular wing (1) which can be folded about the side hinges. The fuselage (3) can be connected to the wing by a box fin (4), on which is hinged the rudder (5). An aircraft of this type exhibits excellent directional stability and is suitable for a very wide range of speeds. Piloting is easier as elevator and flaps have been eliminated. "Parachute" landings, in windless conditions, can be carried out by progressively pulling back on the stick, the aircraft assuming a 45 deg. angle of sink. In addition, the construction of such an aircraft is very strong and yet cheap.
