Description
SPECIFICATION
Counter business management system
This invention relates to a counter business management system.
At each counter of a bank, a person in charge is stationed to receive deposit notes sheets, etc. and to carries out business of deposit and payment. At each counter, data input device and a currency disbursing machine are also disposed and the person in charge carries out the business of deposit and payment by utilizing these machines. The data input device is provided with a key input section, a display section, a a printing section, a calculating section, a memory section and the like. This device prints journals, deposit notes, etc. data for kinds and amounts of currencies, cord numbers of customers, etc., which are put in from the key input section by the person on business of deposit and calculates to store the total of deposited money, etc.In this connection, on business of deposit the person in charge stores cash, which he has received from customers, in a predetermined position. On the other hand, when, on business of payment, the person in charge puts in the data input device from its key input section data for kinds and amounts of currencies, etc. in accordance with the payment sheets which the person in charge has received from customers, the data are transmitted to the currency disbursing machine and simultaneously are printed and recorded on the journals, the deposit notes, etc. The currency disbursing machine automatically disburses kinds and amounts of currencies designated by the data thus transmitted. Then, the person in charge hands the currencies discharged from the currency disbursing machine over to customers together with their deposit notes.
The currencies disbursing machine at each counter is adapted to be supplied with, for example, cash of 5,000,000 by a business manager before commencement of business and the person in charge can utilize the cash for payment business after commencement of business. When the existing balance of cash in the currency disbursing machine becomes a few during business and such status is detected by the near end mechanism of the currency disbursing machine, the business manager again supplies a predetermined amount of cash into the currency disbursing machine to be capable of continuing payment business.Although the cash with which the business manager supplies into each currency disbursing machine is stored in a safe of a funds room, the total amounts of cash in the safe of the funds room and in the currency disbursing machine, that is, the total amount of cash within a whole bank are usually maintained to be substantially constant.
In case of a conventional bank business management system, the contents of business of deposit and payment are stored only in the data input device at each counted and the cash deposited at each counter must be stored by each person in charge until the business is over and liquidation affairs are started. Thus, since the status of deposit and payment at the whole bank including cash in the safe cannot be grasped during business, the cash deposited at each counter cannot be used as cash for payment at the same day and therefore, the efficiency of utilization of funds within the whole bank is low. In addition, the problems on storing cash at each counter exists. Furthermore, since the status of the existing balance within the currency disbursing device at each counter is difficult to be managed timely, there is a problem on proper treatment for supplement of cash.
It is, therefore, an object of the invention to provide a new counter business management system wherein a data input device at each counter is connected to one central total terminal and status of deposit and payment in the whole bank is in real time treated to be grasped by the central total terminal, whereby the efficiency of utilization of funds is enhanced and the management of cash is ensured to be carried out.
According to the present invention, there is provided a counter business management system which comprises, a plurality of data input devices, each disposed at each counter and including a key input section for inputting data for kinds and amounts of currencies deposited or payed and the like, a display section for displaying said data and a printing section for printing the same, a plurality of currency disbursing machines, each disposed at each counter and connected to said data input device to automatically disburse kinds and amounts of currencies designated in accordance with data for kinds and amounts of currencies inputtted from said data input device, and a central total terminal connected to each data input device to receive data put out from each data input device and calculating in real time treatment business data for the total of deposited amount of money, total of payed amount of money, the existing balance, etc. at every kind of currency, at every counter as well as at all counters, whereby counter business management can be made by utilizing said business data.
Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description made with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 is a block diagram showing a counter business management system according to the present invention,
Figure 2 is a perspective view showing a note disbursing machine, a coin disbursing machine and a data input device, and
Figure 3 is a perspective view showing a central total terminal.
One embodiment of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Referring now to Figure 1 conceptionally illustrating a counter business management system. In Figure 1, each of note disbursing machines 2, coin disbursing machines 3, and data input devices 4 is provided at each counter (No. 1 through No. n) of a bank and a person in charge at each counter can make businesses of deposit and payment with these machines. The note disbursing machine 2 and the coin disbursing machine 3 at each counter are electrically connected to the data input device 4.When data of kinds of notes and coins to be disbursed, of an amount of money, etc. are put in the note disbursing machine and/or coin disbursing machine from the data input device 4, in accordance with contents of payment sheet which a person at, for example a counter No. 1 receives from a customer, the inputted data are transmitted to the note disbursing machine 21, or the coin disbursing machine 3, to automatically disburse a desired kinds of notes or coins in an amount of money. The data input devices 4 (41 - 4n) at counters from No. 1 to No.
n are connected to a central total terminal 5, respectively, and therefore, the data which a person at each counter puts in on business of deposit and payment are adapted to be transmitted to the central total terminal 5. Further, the data on business of deposit which are transmitted to the central total terminal 5 from the data input devices 4 (4, -4n) include kinds and an amount of the deposited cash, deposit numbers of the customers, security numbers in case of securities such as checks, kinds of transactions data and counter numbers. On the other hand, the data on business of payment which are transmitted to the central total terminal 5 from the data input devices 4 (41 - 4n) include kinds and an amount of cash payed from the note disbursing machines 2 (2, - 2n) orthe coin disbursing machines 3 (3, - 3,), deposit numbers of the customers, kinds of transactions data such as security numbers, and counter numbers.
When the central total terminal 5 receives the above-mentioned data, it carries out, at every counter, calculation of totalling deposited amount of money, payed amount of money in accordance with kinds of currency and of the existing balances in the note disbursing machines 2 (2, - 2n) and the coin disbursing machine 3 (3, - 3,) as well treatment for securities in accordance with kinds. At the same time, it carries out treatment for totalling data of all counters. The treatment data thus obtained are adapted to be optionally displayed or printed on the display section or the printing section of the central total terminal 5 to be confirmed by a business manager. Thus, the business manager can make a supplement of cash for the note disbursing machine 2 (2, - 2n) or the coin disbursing machine 3 (31 - 3n) at each counter in response to the treatment data or collect and total cash stored at each counter to compare the collected cashes with the treatment data.
After confirmation, the manager can allow the deposited cash to be utilized as cash to be payed.
