Abstract

The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes the preparation of acetylene for injection into cement, plaster &c. in the production of porous bodies, from calcium carbide mixed with substances to reduce the rate of emission of the gas. Suitable restrainers are resins, pitch, tar, oils, fusible silicates, and other salts which are mixed with the carbide with the aid of solvents or heat. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
