Abstract

290,467. Davies, D. July 8, 1927. Cement pipes. - Pipes for land drainage &c. are made porous from the part a to the part b, e..g. by using a coarse concrete mixture e.g. stone that will pass a <9>/16 in. mesh but not a <3>/8 in. mesh, and have the ends made impervious, e.g. by forming them from a mixture of sand (4 measures) and cement (1 measure). The ends are shaped as a conical projection and recess respectively to facilitate jointing.
