Abstract
203,628. Adelmann, H. March 12, 1923. Meat, dressing; pressing and cooking apparatus.-A rectangular vessel for cooking corned beef or other meat is fitted with a removable partition 27, the undersurface of which is provided with dowel pins 25 adapted to take into holes in the bottom of the vessel. The upper edges of the partition are notched at 28 to accommodate the edges of the flanged cover 14. The bottom edges of the partition are flared outwardly as at 26, and the bottom of the vessel is bevelled at 11, to give a good appearance to the cooked meat. The cover is fitted with and separated by springs from a bar 16 to the ends of which are pivoted bails 19 linked to yoke pieces 21 which have at their upper ends bearing pieces 22 adapted to engage in the notches 13 of teeth 12 provided on the ends of the vessel, a finger piece 23 being provided at the lower end of each yoke to permit the bearing pieces to be freed from the teeth when required.
