Abstract

203,467. Shirley, F. J. July 12, 1922. Boxes made from special blanks. - A folding box formed from a blank having one section apertured to form an apertured top has the sections of the blank arranged in the following order :- lid 1, apertured top 2, front wall 3, bottom 4, and back wall 5, the glue lap 6 by which the parts are secured together being formed as an extension of that side of the apertured top 2 which is adjacent the lid 1. In a modification the glue lap is formed as an extension of the back wall. This arrangement of sections enables all the printing and advertising matter to be arranged as one surface of the blank in one printing operation. A portion of the front wall may be arranged to fall down to exhibit the contents of the box. Specifications 162,598, 178,552 and 201,655 are referred to.
