Description

SPECIFICA-TION "WARNTRONIC". Vehicle and property electronic anti theft guard.
Description and claims concerning 'WARNTRONIC' system of vehicle and property anti theft guard using electronic miniaturised circuitry to replace existing normal ignition locks, switches, keys, and where applicable, existing steering locks, built in situ, or otherwise.
'WARNTRONIC' system of replacement is for all types of internal combustion engines, diesel, petrol, gas, or otherwise, to include all type of road vehicles, marine vessels, cars, motor cycles, commercial vehicles, static building plant, fixed and portable, cranes, hoists, bulldozers, heavy building plant, oil, or petrol, or gas engines, used in such building plant, air compressors, lifts, and engines using normal ignition wiring systems, that can be converted to the above 'WARNTRONIC' system, if so desired at any time.
The 'WARNTRONIC' type of anti theft guard system is so constructed to use miniaturised electronic circuitry, set in panels push button finger operated with personal coding. The tabulator unit to be situated on the site, or thereto, replacing normal existing built in, or otherwise, ignition locks, switches, keys, and where applicable, the existing built in, or otherwise situated steering locks on vehicles. The 'WARNTRONIC' system includes built in anti theft device containing microswitches, relays, and warnings, to alert, or warn the owner, or operator, of so guarded property or plant or engines vehicles, as described above, of all unlawful attempts of interference, or tampering, or intent to steal, concerning the so guarded plant, vehicles and property, as so described.
'WARNTRONIC' systems are so designed to alarm and warn owners and operators as described, when the driving seat, foot controls are being so used as to tamper, or attempt unlawful removal when the driving seat is occupied prior to starting up, or attempting, removal of so guarded property in any unlawful manner. The built in switches, protecting the driving seat, and foot controls, are activated by floor well switches, to warn of occupancy, prior to start vehicle or plant, in a silent manner with preset coding, which if incorrectly coded will then activate alarms in an audio and visual manner, at any attempt of unlawful removal, tampering, or attempted theft.
The miniaturised electronic circuitry anti theft device is programmed to use a personal owner, or operator coding, replacing present ignition wiring systems, and component parts, and is therefore tabulated according to requirements concerning the extent of property protection required or to cover such protective conditions as enumerated by circumstances. The 'WARNTRONIC' anti theft system will warn of any type of interference with the tabulator coding, or improper use of coding, or attempts to force, or damage the tabulator unit.
Silent but visual, or audible alarms can be used depending on circumstances, or control instructions, operating the anti theft tabulator or switches, and the area of use can be extended to all exposed building site plant, engines and machinery, as described on page 1.
The 'WARNTRONIC' miniaturised electronic tabulator unit is preset to owner or operator instructions, and incorrect coding activates the built in alarm system for a predetermined period, and can be reset to continue to activate, or warn of continued attempts of unlawful tampering, or theft, depending on required instructions, or circumstances, under thus control of owner or operator. Provision is made for under bonnet or likewise interference by illegal 'wiring up' to attempt to bypass normal ignition wiring systems, or interference with battery or connections thereto.
When the driving seat is occupied by using correct personal code, the ignition system is activated by energising the circuit, ailowing engine to start, after deactivating the silent alarm, and the normal hazard lights and horn systems, built in alarms. For special use for high value security vehicles, there can be provision for a warning lamp, rotary, to be mounted over rear axle differential so that vehicles of security forces can be warned silently or otherwise of the progress of stolen vehicles.
The tabulator can deenergise to battery input, thus cutting off power supply if so programmed, by a protective fuse in power line. Thus immobilising the vehicle until the unit is reset, should owner requirements demand. Also overriding control can be used by tabulator use to compensate for vehicle overhauls, repairs or other items of vehicle non use. Tabulator control allows for instant deactivativation of energising signals and the reactivation of signals according to situation demands, all coded at owners requirements or circumstances.
For heavy goods vehicles carrying loads of high value, the electronic tabulator can be programmed to foil attempts at theft, by means of a built in device, time controlled, with remote relay switches ot cut off fuel supply to engine;' This unit is set by works security, at start of journey, and deactivated at point of arrival, or as required, and, can prevent garage theft or roadside theft.
When the engine control is activated, fuel supply ceases, and the vehicle stops, no attempt at restarting is possible, until security arrives to unlock engine switch, or if the vehicle is abandoned, a calculation of time and programmed fuel consumption is made to determine the area of abandonment.
'WARNTRONIC' vehicle anti theft electronic device can be programmed to a variety of uses world wide, giving tabulator protection to a large range of uses, relating to high value security. It can be used on many sites of industrial use, exposed and hitherto unguarded, especially in isolated positions.
The 'WARNTRONIC' electronic device and systems, can be used on all new or old driven machinery, as the built in security units protect hand and foot controls from theft or interference, tam'pering, or unlawful use.
'WARNTRONIC' uses one component, as where the ordinary ignition system uses three or more, thus replacing items often subject to failure, or breakdown with obvious reasons. This unique method of personal protection and anti theft control for vehicles and property, coded to cover requirements predetermined, by circumstances or operational reasons, is fully electronic and miniaturised to compactness in design. This gives ease of fitment, service, exchange, maintenance, and reduction of manufacturing, and instalment costs,. 'Chip' electronic programmes can now be applied to new uses, this is one instance.
Therefore I wish this application to be associated with my previous one submitted on third May, 1978, No. 17348/78. The reference encircled on drawing, indicates proposed unit to be sold as a 'Do It Yourself kit, for those wishing older vehicles to be thus modified to this new system of anti theft.

Claims (1)

  1. CLAIM
An alarms system for all internal combustion engines using normal ignition wiring circuits, on property, motor vehicles, fixed, or portable, marine vessels, building plant, and other such property to be so guarded with this electronic warning device.
Using silicon chips to replace the present normal ignition lock and key, and steering lock units.
'WARNTRONIC' consists 1 (one) tabulated electronic push button panel, or box, controlling several coded and pre set combinations, constructed with electronic or solid state circuitry, to prevent vehicle and property theft.
'WARNTRONIC' has built in circuitry, to activate or de activate warning systems according to programmed coding, or separate owner or operator demands or instructions, according to circumstances or situations.
'WARNTRONIC' is so constructed to relay electronic signals or impulses to key units operating the present ignition normal systems, whereby by incorrect coding will activate alarm, both visual, or audible. This will therefore alert those persons interested in such interference, or theft, or tampering thereto.
'WARNTRONIC' has relay electronic circuits to protect the property as described, built into the floor well of vehicles or plant as described, coupled to built in switches in the driving seat, armrest, or dashboard, this will activate according to coded anti theft instruction, in a visual, or audible manner.
'WARNTRONIC' will activate these built in micro switches, when displacement on floor wells, or driving seat occupation take place, and electronic impulses precoded on 'Tabrenic' or 'Tabtronic' units so situated or controlled, are so preset to guard from theft or other tampering, to property as described.
Electronic relay circuitry, controls these alarm systems, directly energised through this push button tabulated control, preset and coded to requirements. The usual vehicle instruments, horn, flashers, hazard light and other units activate in normal manner, when wrong code is used, and the entire system of alarms are over ridden when the correct coding is used.
This 'WARNTRONlC' alarm system completely dispenses with present normal ignition wiring concerning the ignition locks, keys, and where applicable, the built in steering locks.
This parts of present construction, using ignition locks, keys, and steering locks, so dispensed with, will enable manufacturers and suppliers to reduce costs and expense for fitments thus discarded in future manufacture.
The 'WBRNTRONIC' anti theft units can be fitted on older vehicles, to enable their modification to up date the ignition wiring systems to this improved, cheaper, method of instalment.
'WARNTRONIC' systems using micro switches, and electronic tabulated circuitry, so described, is so described in drawings deposited 19.3.79, with Patent Office, London.
The full application of 'WARNTRONIC' preset tabulated coded-control, is subject to enlargement, and research, so that other range of areas of use are investigated, and therefore this newly used silicon chip process is under constant development and will be subject to additional patent application subsequently.
