Abstract

A load raising device including upper and lower platforms (1, 3) and at least one air bag (5) connected between the platforms in such manner that the sole connection between the platforms (1, 3) is provided by the air bag on bags (5). The upper platform is raised or lowered relative to the lower platform by inflation or deflation of the air bags. A control valve (7) enables selective control of the feed of pressurised air to and from the air bags. <IMAGE>
