Abstract

A reservoir for hinged lid blanks feeds groups of blanks into the vertical stack (S) of a packing machine. It includes a pair of individually drivable conveyor belts (1) for supporting the groups of blanks (G), and a platform (5) on to which each group is loaded by the belts. When sensors (31) detect that the stack requires replenishing, the platform moves across into a discharge position over the stack, a pair of gates (22) aligns the group of blanks with the stack, and the platform retracts, allowing the group to drop a short distance on to the stack. <IMAGE>
