Abstract

Automatic plant watering apparatus of the "drip-feed" kind comprises a water tank or reservoir (1), a float (2) in the tank or reservoir and a syphon tube (3) one end of which is supported by the float (2) beneath but adjacent the surface of the water in tank or reservoir (1) and the other end of which is integral with or connected to a feed tube (4). The invention ensures that the water in the feed tube (4) will be at a constant pressure regardless of the level of the water in the tank or reservoir (1). The drip-rate control comprises an outlet tube (5), a screw (9) threaded into the outlet tube (5) and a wad of sponge- like material in the outlet tube (5) and compressible by the screw (9). Screw (9) is tapered from the head end thereof down to the other end thereof as by having a flat formed thereon. <IMAGE>
