Abstract

An extensible scaffold frame is formed of a lazy tongs arrangement of crossed levers 11 the ends of each lever being pivotted to a respective slide 14 which is mounted for sliding movement along a respective one of a plurality of parallel rods 12, each rod extending in the plane of, but transverse to the direction of extension of, the lazy tongs. The ends of rods 12 carry clamps 15 for attachment to scaffold standards 16. The lazy tongs are operable by a screw- jacks arrangement and are spring- biased to the extended position. <IMAGE>
